About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Augmentus Pte. Ltd., together with its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Augmentus”, “we”, “us”, “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at augmentus.tech and related subdomains (the “Website”) and our customer account portal at account.augmentus.tech (the “Portal”).
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal data we collect (including through cookies) and your rights over it. This policy covers only the Website and Portal; the usage telemetry that the Augmentus software sends once installed does not use cookies and is described separately in our End User License Agreement and Product Telemetry Notice.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies — such as browser local storage, software development kits (SDKs) and tracking pixels — which work in comparable ways. In this policy we refer to all of these as “cookies.”
Cookies may be set by us (“first-party”) or by a service provider acting on our behalf (“third-party”, such as our analytics and CRM providers).
The categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — required for the Website and Portal to work: keeping you signed in, protecting the session, and remembering your cookie choices. These are always active and do not require consent.
- Analytics and performance — help us understand how the Website and Portal are used so we can improve them. This currently includes, for example, PostHog (product analytics and session replay), Google Analytics, and HubSpot’s visitor-tracking cookies. These are set only with your consent.
- Functionality — support optional features such as live chat, where enabled. These are set only with your consent.
We do not use cookies to serve advertising or to build cross-site advertising profiles. If that changes, we will add a “Marketing” category here and update the banner before any such cookies are used.
The cookies we use
The table below lists the cookies we use and their maximum durations. Exact names and durations depend on how each provider is configured and should be confirmed against a current scan of our Website and Portal.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Portal session / authentication | Augmentus | Keeps you signed in to the Portal and protects the session | Strictly necessary | Session |
| Cookie-consent preference | Augmentus | Remembers your accept / decline cookie choice | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
| __hs_opt_out, __hs_cookie_cat_pref, __hs_do_not_track | HubSpot | Record your HubSpot cookie-consent choices | Strictly necessary | Up to 180 days |
| ph_phc_w3uLmiYuUbQxAKkbsyjdXyHRcTMsRVCKmQKcszE5TMRW_posthog | PostHog | Distinguishes visitors; enables product analytics and session replay | Analytics | Up to 12 months |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_[container-id] | Google Analytics | Persists session state (GA4) | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
| __hstc | HubSpot | Main visitor and session tracking cookie | Analytics | Up to 6 months |
| hubspotutk | HubSpot | Visitor identity; links a form submission to a contact record | Analytics | Up to 6 months |
| __hssc | HubSpot | Tracks the current session | Analytics | 30 minutes |
| __hssrc | HubSpot | Detects whether the browser was restarted | Analytics | Session |
| messagesUtk | HubSpot | Identifies visitors using live chat, where enabled | Functionality | Up to 6 months |
The “Duration” column shows how long each cookie may stay on your device; it is a maximum, and cookies are often refreshed or cleared sooner. How long we keep the data collected through these cookies is a separate matter, described in our Privacy Policy under “How long we keep personal data.” Analytics and functionality cookies are set only after you consent; strictly-necessary cookies are always active. Google Analytics and HubSpot may transfer data outside your country; see the Privacy Policy for details of our providers and their processing regions.
Your choices — managing cookies
When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Non-essential cookies (analytics, session replay and HubSpot tracking) are not set until you accept them.
- Change or withdraw consent at any time — use the persistent “Cookie settings” control on our Website and Portal to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent stops further non-essential cookies; it does not affect data already collected.
- Browser controls — you can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the Portal from working.
Because the Website and Portal share the same domain, the choice you make applies across both.
Consent and legal basis
Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”) and, for individuals in the EU/UK, the ePrivacy rules and the GDPR, we rely on:
- Strictly-necessary cookies — set without consent because they are essential to provide a service you have asked for (they are exempt from the consent requirement).
- All other cookies — set only with your consent, obtained through the cookie banner before the cookies fire. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Cookies across our Website and Portal
Some analytics cookies (including the PostHog cookie ph_phc_w3uLmiYuUbQxAKkbsyjdXyHRcTMsRVCKmQKcszE5TMRW_posthog) are set on the .augmentus.tech domain and shared between the Website and the Portal, so your activity can be understood consistently across both. PostHog analytics data is processed and stored on PostHog’s European Union (EU) region infrastructure.
Changes to this Cookie Policy
The cookies and third-party providers described in this policy may change from time to time as we add, remove or replace the tools we use. The table above is current as of the “Last updated” date and is indicative. The authoritative, up-to-date list of the cookies actually in use — together with the controls to accept or decline them — is always available through the “Cookie settings” control on our Website and Portal.
We update this policy and the “Last updated” date when the cookies we use change, and where a change is material we re-surface the cookie banner so you can review your choices.
