One-click toolpath generation, vision-guided adaptive robotics, and more — Augmentus 3.0

What's new in the Augmentus 3.0 release.

We're pleased to roll out Augmentus 3.0, the latest major release of the platform. The headline themes for this release are speed and adaptability: how quickly you can generate a toolpath from a part, and how well the cell keeps up with parts that don't sit perfectly where they're supposed to.

One-click toolpath generation

The new generation tools — AutoEdge for edges and material removal, and AutoSurface for surface coverage — produce complete, deployable toolpaths from CAD or 3D scans. Granular selection control means operators can target specific edges or surface regions without scripting.

The practical impact: programming time for a typical finishing or deburring application drops from hours to minutes.

Vision-guided adaptive robotics

Even with a perfect toolpath, real-world parts shift on fixtures, drift between batches, and arrive subtly different from the simulation model. The vision-guided adaptive layer in 3.0 re-anchors the toolpath to the actual part at execution time, using on-cell sensing.

The result is closed-loop motion: the cell sees the part, plans against it, and executes — every cycle.

Cell-level improvements

3.0 also includes a wider range of cell-level upgrades: better support for multi-robot coordination, refined safety configuration, and broader controller compatibility across ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa, UR, and Doosan.
