About your role
Product & Requirements
- Translate customer workflows and problems into clear product requirements, user stories, and edge cases.
- Work with the Product Manager to prioritise feature requests, bug fixes, and technical debt.
- Help define acceptance criteria and test scenarios for new features.
Engineering & Implementation
- Work closely with the engineering team to design, prototype, and validate new features.
- Perform hands-on testing of releases (including on robot cells / hardware setups where relevant).
- Investigate issues reported by customers, reproduce them, and work with devs to drive them to resolution.
Customer & Application Focus
- Partner with application / solutions engineers to understand real deployments, constraints, and edge cases.
- Participate in customer calls, pilots, or on-site visits to gather product feedback and pain points.
- Help create internal and external documentation, workflows, and best-practice guides for new capabilities.
Quality & Process
- Maintain a high bar for product reliability and usability, especially for production environments.
- Contribute to improving our release process, test coverage, and feedback loops between customers, product, and engineering.
- Track and report key product metrics, bugs, and feature adoption where relevant.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–4 years of experience in product, application, or engineering roles (e.g. product engineer, application engineer, solutions engineer, or similar).
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to debug issues systematically.
- Comfortable working with software products (e.g. UIs, APIs, configurations) and understanding constraints from the dev team.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical (engineering) and non-technical (customers, sales, ops) stakeholders.
- Ownership mindset – you care about the outcome for the user, not just closing tickets.
Good to Have
- Experience in robotics, industrial automation, or manufacturing (e.g. robot arms, PLCs, CNC, machine vision, etc.).
- Familiarity with robot path planning, 3D, CAD, or vision systems.
- Experience writing basic scripts (e.g. Python, C#, or similar) for tools, automation, or debugging.
- Prior experience in a startup or fast-moving product environment.
