About your role
Accounting Operations

- Manage and oversee daily accounting entries, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and journal entries.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and adhere to established accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements (e.g. profit and loss statements, balance sheets) and management reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Process employee expense claims and ensure timely reimbursement.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconciliation

- Perform regular and thorough reconciliation of bank statements, credit card statements, intercompany accounts, and various general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Investigate and resolve any variances or issues identified during the reconciliation process.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for reconciliation and resolve outstanding items.
- Maintain detailed reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

- Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses to support decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in cash flow forecasting.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
Compliance & Audit:

- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Requirements
- Diploma Holder/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a strong emphasis on accounting operations and reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial formulas).
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
